Girlschool Tour
On Friday 13th of November (release date of Girlschool’s new album ‘Guilty as Sin’) the Girls will be turning up the volume and getting into their stride at Het Hof, Grote Markt 41, 2200, Herentals, Belgium. Bring me some chocolate!
The loudest, heaviest, earth shattering rock tour this year hits Europe in November as the legendary Motorhead team up with very special guests Saxon and Girlschool.
The veteran metal bands from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal first took the stage together at ‘The Headbanger’s Ball’ in Bingley, Stafford on the 26th of July 1980, the year Girlschool released their first album ‘Demolition’, whilst Lemmy and the boys, Philthy Taylor and Fast Eddie Clarke were touring the followup to their ‘Overkill album, ‘Bomber’.
What an unforgettable lighting rig that was!
And of course the B-side of the the top 5 silver disc single ‘Please Don’t Touch’ by Headgirl (or Motorschool as they called it in Japan), featured lead singer Enid Williams on Bomber exchanging vocals with Lemmy on Girlschool favourite, Emergency.
The ‘Heavy Metal Barn Dance’ lineup also included rockers ‘Angel Witch’, with whom Denise’s brother Dave Dufort also played.
The mammoth tour runs from mid November 2015 to late February 2016 across the UK and Europe, with the first leg starting in Paris and wrapping up in Helsinki on December 6th.
The set will include ‘Come the Revolution’ and ‘Take it like a Band’ from the forthcoming album release ‘Guilty as Sin’, alongside classics from the Girls set ‘Emergency’, ‘Race With the Devil’, ‘Watch Your Step’ and ‘Yeah Right’.
